Weekend Box Office: 'Gone Girl' Nabs $26.8M, 'Dracula Untold' Bites $23.5M

Dracula Untold revisits the origins of Bram Stoker's iconic monster, who we are told began as Transylvanian prince Vlad III Țepeș (Luke Evans), a man who, as a boy, was trained by Turkish overlords to become the savage 

Now he's playing Vlad Tepes, a warrior who becomes an undead monster, in the new movie "Dracula Untold." Evans told reporters, "We're almost turning the monster on its head in a way and allowing people to see Dracula in a different light." In theaters now.

Maybe "Dracula Untold" is the entertaining fantasy action-adventure moviegoers have been waiting for since, um, "Guardians of the Galaxy" opened at the beginning of August. Maybe Luke Evans has a huge following know one really knew about. Maybe
