USGS investigating cause of 'rare' earthquake

The United States Geological Survey reported a 3.9 magnitude earthquake in Oklahoma County early Saturday morning.

GOLDEN – Seismologists with the United States Geological Survey are trying to determine what caused a 3.4 magnitude earthquake northeast of Greeley Saturday, and area scientists say they haven't seen a quake of that magnitude in at least 40 years.

A magnitude-4.2 earthquake struck Sunday evening near the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor's size was recalculated after seismologists initially said its
