The socialist roots of International Women's Day

The run-up to International Women's Day on March 8 is the perfect occasion to recognize the working women of the world, whether they labor in an office or on a farm. From building wind turbines to harvesting bananas, 

This gap between women's inherent value and how many of them are treated every day is one of the great injustices of our time. On this International Women's Day, we recommit ourselves to closing that gap. That means supporting girls' education. Right

China celebrated International Women's Day by locking up at least eight female activists who had been planning a rally against sexual harassment this weekend. Instead of rallies for women's rights, the holiday was marked by events in shopping malls
