Poignant 'Je Suis Charlie' baby picture shows new life on a day of tragedy

The Washington Examiner has created an interactive map to show where#JeSuisCharlie (meaning "I am Charlie") tweets were showing up around the world on Wednesday, in support of slain journalists at satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in France.

Meanwhile The Guardian used a picture of demonstrators holding placards declaring "Je Suis Charlie", alongside the headline "An assault on democracy". The Independent's entire front page was today taken up by a Dave Brown cartoon from a blood-stained copy of Charlie Hebdo with its middle finger raised. French daily newspaper Libération also blacked out its front page, replacing it with the words "Nous sommes tous Charlie", meaning "We are all Charlie".
