The day before the Office of Personnel Management first announced a massive data breach of personal information, now former OPM director Katherine Archuleta's attention was focused elsewhere. Archuleta published a blog post on June 3 entitled 

But the news yesterday that 22 million federal employees, most of whom had undergone security background checks, and their family members had their data stolen was the final straw. And after stating she was committed to staying at OPM, Archuleta today 

OPM has been hit by a second breach, leading to the theft of more than 21 million individuals' records. The figure confirmed Thursday by OPM is in addition to the previous breach, and the total figure now stands at almost 26 million individuals
