Mo. killings suspect 'just walked in' to victims' houses

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports it began at about 10:15 p.m. Thursday when the Texas County Sheriff's Department requested assistance with a disturbance involving a weapon at a home in Tyrone, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has confirmed that nine people are dead in the community of Tyrone in Texas County. A news conference has been rescheduled to 9:00 a.m. KOLR10 News will carry the news conference live and you can watch it live on 

Authorities say a man who may have been unhinged by the death of his ailing mother went on a house-to-house shooting rampage in a small town in the Missouri Ozarks, killing seven people before taking his own life. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 

The shooting in Tyrone, in Texas County, left so many people dead — one gunman, seven gunshot victims and a woman found dead of natural causes — that a Missouri State Highway Patrol spokesman couldn't keep them all straight during a 9 a.m. press
