DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Kurt Busch has never been arrested for allegedly assaulting his one-time girlfriend, Patricia Driscoll, on Sept. 26, 2014, inside his motorhome at Dover International Speedway. Kurt Busch has never been charged with that crime.
Busch began the appeals process Saturday across the street from Daytona International Speedway as Smith was preparing to take his place. Smith got to the track early Saturday to get fitted for the seat and learn the nuances of the team and the car.
“Given the serious nature of the findings and conclusions made by the Commissioner of the Family Court of the State of Delaware, NASCAR has indefinitely suspended driver Kurt Busch, effective immediately,” NASCAR said
