Kobe Bryant passes Michael Jordan on NBA's all-time scoring list

Kobe Bryant passed Michael Jordan on the all-time NBA scoring list last night, and after the game it was time for Kobe and his teammates—his friends, his confidants, his brothers in arms—to cut loose and celebrate the man's tremendous accomplishment.

Earlier Sunday evening, Kobe Bryant passed Michael Jordan for sole possession of third place on the NBA's all-time scoring list. Shortly afterwards, Jordan released a statement to the Associated Press congratulating him: 

Kobe Bryant passed Michael Jordan on the all-time NBA scoring list last night, and after the game it was time for Kobe and his teammates—his friends, his confidants, his brothers in arms—to cut loose and celebrate the man's tremendous accomplishment.

For two similarly-styled combatants, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant could really never get on track when it came to an on-court rivalry. Bryant, who is set to likely overtake Jordan for third place on the NBA's all-time scoring
