K-State band director to take questions about halftime show

This is, supposedly, the Kansas State band as the starship Enterprise “encountering a horrible space creature.” It looks a lot more like the Kansas Jayhawk performing fellatio.

Kansas State was facing off against South Dakota and the theme of the halftime show was space so it involved multiple scenes including notable figures from Star Wars and Star Trek. Unfortunately, when the Kansas State band formed the Jayhawks mascot 

In summary, the K-State band was attempting to show a space battle between the U.S.S. Enterprise from Star Trek and an alien which was supposed to look like the “Jayhawk” mascot from K-State's instate rival, the University of Kansas. Except the band 

Update: Kansas State's marching band has issued a statement on the performance. We apologize for anyone offended by our halftime performance depicting the starship enterprise and the Jayhawk mascot.
