Just in Time for 2015, Lexus Claims to Have Created a Working Hoverboard

Sorry, Marty McFly — Lexus isn't about to bring hoverboards to a dealership near you. Toyota's luxury brand teased a hoverboard prototype in a short video released online this week that's created a splash: 

Lexus has released a short video showing what appears to be a working superconductive hoverboard.

Lexus tells Engadget that, like similar board designed by California's Arx Pax, it only works on a metallic surface, and that it built a special skate park to demonstrate it on. It's only unveiled a teaser video so far, but will be revealing more of it

Lexus claims to have built an actual, functioning magnetic hoverboard and even has it on video.
