Jerome Kersey, Stalwart of Top Trail Blazers Teams, Dies at 52

Jerome Kersey, the versatile small forward who helped the Portland Trail Blazers reach two NBA Finals and won a title with the San Antonio Spurs in 1999, died Wednesday. He was 52.

Jerome Kersey, a hard-working forward from a small college who overachieved in pro basketball, starting on two Portland Trail Blazers teams that reached the N.B.A. finals, died on Wednesday in Tualatin, Ore., near Portland. He was 52. Ashley Stanford

Both, of course, decided to settle down in Portland, and when Kersey married his longtime girlfriend Teri in September of 2013, Porter was there, with his arm around him. And at Blazers games, chances are if you saw one of the legends, the other was
