Gov. Rick Perry (R., Tex.) drew a sharp contrast against President Obama this afternoon. As Obama scurried away from Washington to resume his Martha's Vineyard vacation, Perry voiced his rousing defense before strutting 

Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) tweeted a photo Tuesday evening revealing what he did immediately following his booking at an Austin courthouse. "And then, ice cream cone at #Sandy's," Perry tweeted from his official account.

Perry was indicted Friday on two felony counts for threatening to veto funding for a public ethics unit headed by a Democratic district attorney who was arrested for driving with a more than 0.23 blood alcohol content. Perry

Texas Gov. Rick Perry today pleaded not guilty to two felony charges on which he was indicted relating to a 2013 veto threat. Perry's attorneys entered the not guilty plea this morning and waived his formal arraignment scheduled for Friday morning.
