Good for American Apparel's Smutty Ads

If American Apparel can grow again, and show that it does not need to eat through cash to stay afloat, the market will have a reason to bid its shares back above $2.

Fashion brand American Apparel was last night attacked for an 'abhorrent' advertising campaign featuring provocative images of models posing as schoolgirls. One advert for a miniskirt from its Back to School range was labelled 'underage pornography'.

American Apparel is no stranger to controversy and has come under fire in the past for campaigns featuring topless models or women in "overtly sexual" poses. One particular advert featured a woman wearing a jumper and apparently with her bottom half
