Former Syracuse guard Dion Waiters leaves Thunder after brother dies

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) – Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting that left the younger brother of a local NBA star dead. Officers responded to the scene of a shooting on 2300 block of Morris Street around 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night.

Thunder guard Dion Waiters' younger brother has died, and Waiters has left the team to be with family. Demetrius Pinckney was killed Tuesday in Philadelphia, and Waiters will not play Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers. Thunder general
