Former Giants safety Tyler Sash found to have advanced stages of CTE

According to ESPN, Sash suffered multiple concussions during his short NFL career where he played in 23 games during the 2011 and 2012 seasons. Sash's brother also said that Tyler was diagnosed with concussions back in high school and college.

Former NFL and Iowa safety Tyler Sash, who died last year at age 27, has been diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Chris Nowinski of the Boston University-affiliated Concussion Legacy Foundation confirmed the diagnosis on Tuesday 

Before his death last September, former Iowa football star and New York Giants safety Tyler Sash had developed a degenerative brain disease found in dozens of former NFL players caused by repeated trauma, according to a New York Times report released
