Flooding sweeps East amid 'mind-boggling' rains

Residents are urged to stay indoors in South Carolina, where record breaking rain has led to flooding, dam breaches and power outages. The South Carolina Emergency Management Division asked residents on Sunday to remain where they are and avoid 

“We have extensive flooding,” said North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey, “the worst flooding that I have seen in the 21 years that I've been mayor.” Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley agreed saying that he though the flooding was even worse than Hurricane 

North Carolina also was dealing with flash flooding on some secondary roads, and some ferry services were canceled. But South Carolina was taking the brunt of the unrelenting storm. Chris Morris is one of the lucky ones in his Charleston neighborhood.
