DENVER — While most of the metro area is still digging out from a blast of winter weather, a few animals at the Denver Zoo are welcoming the snow. The polar bear was outside enjoying the cold, hanging out by his swimming pool Tuesday afternoon.
At 4 p.m. in Denver the temperature was 12 degrees, according to the weather service. Druing the early morning hours Friday a Chinook wind from Arizona will warm things up, said Mike Baker, meteorologist from the National Weather Service in Boulder.
The new structure, which Denver Water explains on its website here, aims to smooth swings in revenues for the water utility, while also addressing the need to keep water affordable, and encourage customers to conserve water, said Angela Bricmont
