NEW YORK — Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul has been fined $25,000 for criticizing a female official after a loss at Cleveland. The NBA announced the fine on Saturday. Paul was given a technical by rookie referee Lauren Holtkamp on Thursday night 

Chris Paul has been fined $25,000 for criticizing referee Lauren Holtkamp following Thursday night's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Los Angeles Clippers were whistled for five technical fouls in the lopsided loss.

The first was called against Doc Rivers in the first quarter, yet the remaining 4 all came in the third – including three in a 52-second span — and were called by Lauren Holtkamp, one of two female referees in the NBA.
