Buffalo's Roofs Creak After Winter Storm Dumps Seven Feet of Snow

BUFFALO, N.Y. (CBS Cleveland/AP) — A ferocious storm dumped massive piles of snow on parts of upstate New York, trapping residents in their homes and stranding motorists on roadways, as temperatures in all 50 states

BUFFALO — A combination of the cold arctic air and the warm waters of the Great Lakes is creating historic snowfall just south of Buffalo, New York. At least six feet of snow has fallen, leaving people stranded in their homes.

Starting early Tuesday morning, 3 feet of snow blanketed parts of western New York, especially the city of Buffalo — and the deluge likely won't stop for days. The National Weather Service has issued a lake effect snow
