Braves move into Phase Two of their rebuild with Hector Olivera trade

In a season of strange moves by the Los Angeles Dodgers, there was another Thursday as they sent former Tulsa Drillers infield phenom Hector Olivera to the Atlanta Braves. Olivera, a Cuban defector, was signed to a six-year, $62.5-million contract

Other reports indicated that the Braves would send left-hander Luis Avilan and touted infield prospect Jose Peraza to the Dodgers in exchange for 29-year old Cuban prospect Hector Olivera. Those reports said the Marlins would not be involved in the deal.
