Box office report: 'Lucy' slays 'Hercules' with $44 million debut

Although Hercules wasn't quite the smash hit that I'm sure The Rock hoped for, early figures suggest that the film is on course to make a healthy profit and should solidify his status as one of Hollywood's highest paid actors.

While many will automatically think of the actor Kevin Sorbo and his small screen portrayal of the “half God” hero, this film's different slant on the strongman should put Johnson in a league all his own. The film has a very impressive cast list on top

The Paramount and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer movie cost a reported $100 million to produce, so, although this domestic debut isn't ideal, it did still manage to beat the modest analyst expectations. Besides, international is what really matters for the Brett
