According to several media reports posted earlier today (mostly out of Australia), AC/DC might be calling it quits very soon — due to the serious illness of guitarist Malcolm Young. Perth, Australia, radio station 6PR reported 

After two days of speculation about their future, AC/DC have stated that they will be continuing. However, band founder and rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young is to take a break from the band, owing to ill health. A statement posted on their website said

“My information is that Malcolm Young has moved himself and his family back to Australia, he's very very ill and that AC/DC may well be history,'" the email said, signed by a man who called himself Thunderstruck.

It now appears as though the AC/DC retirement rumors are gaining strength amidst a report that guitarist Malcolm Young suffered a stroke.
