It is by total coincidence that today's Open Thread host is Nagano, the first second Japanese Ninja Warrior to successfully reach the top of Mount Midoriyama, because, last night, Kacy Catanzaro became the first female Ninja 

The show has been airing in the U.S. for a while now, but until this week, a woman never had successfully completed the final round. That changed when a 5-foot, 100-pound former collegiate gymnast named Kacy Catanzaro took her turn on the course.

Though Catanzaro's height should have hindered her from completing the course, she breezed through some of the toughest obstacles, conquering every last one to become the first woman ever to make it through the Dallas finals and qualify for the Las
